Arnot Ogden Medical Center, part of Centralus Health, was designated as an American College of Radiology (ACR) Prostate Cancer MRI Center, according to an April 13 announcement. The recognition completes the facility’s portfolio of ACR certifications for its medical imaging services.
The new designation means Arnot’s prostate MRI program meets national standards set by the ACR for image quality, safety protocols, equipment performance, and clinical expertise. These standards help ensure that patients receive high-quality imaging needed for early detection and precise diagnosis of prostate cancer.
Prostate MRI is increasingly important in modern cancer care because it allows doctors to identify suspicious areas more accurately and guide targeted biopsies when necessary. With these advanced imaging capabilities, clinicians can detect cancer at earlier stages and monitor disease progression more effectively.
Toni Brotz, CRA, MS, RT(R) CT, Senior Director of Medical Imaging for Centralus Health said: “Achieving this recognition reflects our ongoing investment in advanced imaging technology, including DynaCAD and UroNav, as well as our team’s specialized training and commitment to exceptional patient care.” Brotz added: “This designation demonstrates the expertise of our imaging professionals and reinforces our commitment to delivering the highest standard of diagnostic services to the communities we serve.”
Arnot Ogden Medical Center is among a small number of facilities in Upstate New York and Northeast Pennsylvania with this specific ACR designation. The recognition highlights Arnot’s position as a regional leader in advanced imaging and cancer diagnostics.
