As tensions continue to rise globally, Assemblyman Robert Smullen has expressed his support for recent U.S. military actions against Iran’s nuclear program. A retired Marine Corps colonel with extensive experience in national security, Smullen shared his perspective from Gloversville, New York.
Smullen emphasized the importance of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, describing the nation as “the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.” He highlighted his firsthand experiences dealing with unchecked rogue regimes and the complexities of leadership in high-stakes situations.
According to Smullen, the strikes were a necessary step to safeguard not only the United States but also its allies worldwide. He stated that this decision was made after careful consideration and should not be interpreted through a partisan lens. “It was a clear message: The U.S. will not tolerate nuclear threats from hostile regimes,” he remarked.
Smullen further stressed the importance of unity and strength in maintaining peace, underscoring that it is a strategy rooted in deterrence and decisive action. He affirmed his unwavering support for U.S. servicemembers, intelligence personnel, and leadership during such critical operations.
“Now is the time for unity and resolve,” Smullen concluded, calling for collective support for those defending American interests.
