The Delaware County Department of Emergency Services has announced the tragic death of East Branch Fire Department Assistant Chief Jason McGlone. McGlone was killed in the line of duty while responding to a motor vehicle crash on July 18, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 pm.
Assistant Chief McGlone sustained traumatic injuries during his response efforts and, despite receiving medical attention at the scene, he did not survive.
The department expressed its condolences to McGlone’s family, friends, and colleagues in light of this loss.
