Delaware County schedules public hearing for 2026 tentative budget

The Delaware County Board of Supervisors has announced a public hearing on the 2026 tentative budget. The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. It will take place in the Board of Supervisors Room at the Senator Charles D. Cook County Office Building, located at 111 Main Street in Delhi, New York.

During the upcoming fiscal year, salary limits for board members have been set according to Section 359 of County Law. Each of the 18 members of the Board of Supervisors may receive up to $17,165, while the Chairman’s maximum salary is specified as $78,800.

Members of the public are invited to attend and comment on the proposed budget. “All persons interested in speaking concerning the proposed budget will be heard at the aforementioned time and place,” stated Penny A. Bishop, Clerk of the Board for Delaware County.

Copies of the proposed budget can be reviewed during office hours at the Clerk’s office at 111 Main Street in Delhi. Individuals with disabilities who need assistance to participate or provide feedback are encouraged to contact the Clerk’s office by calling (607) 832-5110.
