The facility offered 176 beds, outpacing the county average by 50 beds in Q1 2026. It saw an average occupancy of 160.5 residents for the period.
The CMS assigned Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center an overall rating of 2 out of 5, which is below the 3.1 average for New York nursing homes.
Robinson Terrace ranked as the county’s second largest nursing home that quarter with 120 beds, while Mountainside Residential Care Center was third with 82 beds available.
Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center had no reported fines or penalties during the first quarter of 2026.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates show the nation’s population of older adults is rising while youth numbers are on the decline. From 2020 to 2024, the segment of Americans aged 65 and over grew by 13%, as those under 18 decreased by 1.7%. Over the last century, the population of older adults in the United States has surged, going from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.
Nearly half of this group—around 28 million people—could need long-term services and supports, according to a 2021 study. More than a third may ultimately require nursing home care.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
