On Friday, Feb. 28, former Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Central School District standout Von Baker’s current college team, the Rice Owls, lost 14-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The game took place at Daikin Park. This was their first matchup against the Bulldogs this season.

The Owls’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 11:05 a.m. at Daikin Park against Tennessee Volunteers.
