On Sunday, Feb. 16, former Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Central School District standout Von Baker’s current college team, the Rice Owls, lost 7-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Virginia Cavaliers.

The game took place at Estadio Francisco Montaner. This was their first matchup against the Cavaliers this season.

The Owls’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Reckling Park against Sam Houston Bearkats.
