New York State Senator Peter Oberacker, a Republican and Conservative party member who serves on several state senate committees, recently addressed utility costs, energy policy, and community inclusion in a series of social media posts.
On March 13, 2026, Oberacker criticized Democratic lawmakers for their approach to energy costs. He wrote, “Senate Democrats are doubling down on increasing our already sky-high utility costs! Later that day, Oberacker promoted his legislative efforts and commented on political opponents. Oberacker has been recognized for his contributions outside the legislature as well. He was inducted into the SUNY Delhi Athletic Hall of Fame and volunteers with the C.H. As a senator, he holds positions on several committees including Agriculture, Finance, Higher Education and Labor.
