Assemblyman Robert Smullen, a conservative Republican and former Marine, has recently shared updates on his activities and perspectives through several posts on social media.

On December 12, 2025, Smullen discussed his appearance on WVMT Radio’s The Morning Drive. In his post, he stated: “Great conversation on WVMT Radio’s The Morning Drive. I took calls, answered tough questions, and talked about why I’m running for Congress. As a conservative Republican, I believe in servant leadership – listening first, understanding the issues, and putting service above”.

The following day, December 13, 2025, Smullen reflected on the significance of the Army-Navy Game and its connection to military service. He wrote: “The Army-Navy Game is more than a rivalry. It’s a reminder of the honor, sacrifice, and brotherhood shared by those who choose to serve. As a former Marine, I know what it means to wear the uniform and put mission before self. The lessons learned in service stay with you”.

On December 14, 2025, Smullen highlighted his participation in charitable activities in Herkimer. He posted: “Braving the cold in Herkimer today, I rang the bell to help raise money for the Salvation Army at Walmart while members of the Herkimer Police and Fire Departments collected toys for kids in need. Serving the residents of #ny21 is why I show up and why giving back to our”.

Smullen currently serves as an Assemblyman representing New York’s 118th Assembly District. His background includes military service as a United States Marine Corps officer prior to entering public office.
