Historical Society Online Auction - 14th Annual Event
The Greater Oneonta Historical Society's 14th annual benefit auction will be two auctions this year and because of the pandemic, both will be exclusively online. GOHS has contracted with 32Auctions for a preliminary auction that will include about a dozen items. The auction will open on Friday, September 25 at 10:00 AM, and will close on Sunday, September 27 at 9:00 PM. The items up for auction are on display at the Oneonta History Center, 183 Main Street. The link for the preliminary auction is https://www.32auctions.com/GOHSMiniAuction. Participants can view the auction items at this site and can register in advance to bid when the auction begins. GOHS executive director Bob Brzozowski states that "This mini-auction will give everyone an opportunity to try the online auction system prior to a larger auction November 15 to November 21. The History Center will be open during the auction on Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and can assist visitors with online auction questions.
