Delaware County Sheriff's Office - Sergeant Kim Smith

105

Today, we are proud to announce that Sergeant Kim Smith, a 25 veteran of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office was sworn in as Undersheriff by Sheriff Craig DuMond at the Public Safety Building in Delhi May 26th 2022.

Not only is Kim Smith the first female Undersheriff appointed by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office since 1795, but she was the first female Sergeant appointed by the Office as well.

Kim Smith also has the distinction of being the first female recipient of the Carl Drexler Award from the New York State Sheriff’s Association for Lifetime Achievement in the field of Law Enforcement.

We are very excited to have Undersheriff Smith continue her career in this capacity and look forward to her many accomplishments and distinctions as Undersheriff.

Thank you to all that attended the ceremony yesterday morning.

Congratulations Undersheriff Kim Smith!
