C-R High School entrepreneurship students are gaining real-world experience through the “C-R Bucks” coffee shop, a coffee shop located in the high school cafeteria in partnership with The Brick House Bakery.

Each morning, the C-R Bucks morning crew arrives at 7 a.m. to open the coffee shop. C-R Bucks offers coffee, tea, hot chocolate and other drinks before school starts and even provides a delivery service to faculty and staff.

In addition to running the shop on a daily basis, students also share the other responsibilities related to running a business. Students are responsible for opening and closing each day, scheduling, IT, cleaning, ordering, inventory, marketing, PR, delivery, finances and more.

The Brick House Bakery has been a significant supporter of C-R Bucks, donating coffee makers, bistro tables and even a TV to display the coffee shop’s menu. The relationship began when business students stopped by The Bakery during their downtown tour and spoke with the owner, Vincent Zaba. Since then, Zaba and The Bakery have been a constant support to our students.
