78.8% of Suffolk County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 1,522,998 citizens living in Suffolk County in 2021, 78.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 1,200,757 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 589,265 were male, constituting 49.1%, and 611,492 were female, making up 50.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Suffolk County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79%.
