Smullen joins commission focused on rural resource development

Assemblyman Robert Smullen has been appointed to the Legislative Commission on the Development of Rural Resources for the 2025-2026 legislative term. This appointment was made by Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay.

Smullen expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “I am very excited to serve on this legislative commission to help develop resources in rural regions of our state and promote rural equity statewide.” He emphasized the importance of advocating for upstate New Yorkers in Albany, highlighting his commitment to revitalizing rural areas and supporting families, students, teachers, business owners, and first responders.

He also acknowledged Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay for providing him with this opportunity. Smullen remarked, “Special thanks to Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay for this incredible opportunity. It is my honor to serve on this legislative commission—I am eager to get started.”
