Cost of college went up for all students at SUNY College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill

In-state tuition and fees rose 6.3 percent for 2018-19 at SUNY College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York residents paid $8,654 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $515 more than the $8,139 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 113 percent more than residents this year, or $18,434. Their price tag grew 3.6 percent from $17,789 in 2017-18.

About 91 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New York residents. And about 9 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 601 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.1 million and 503 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.4 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,278), 1,778 students used grants or scholarships totaling $15.2 million, and 1,482 students took out $9.1 million in federal student loans.
