The members of both the MS and HS Agents of Positive Change clubs were joined by over a 100 other capital region students at the annual STOP (Students Together Opposing Prejudice) conference hosted by the ADL at Siena College on Friday January 13, 2023.
This is the HS AoPC's third time in attendance, this year’s conference focused on music that inspired civil rights. Students at the conference, led by Anti-Defamation League’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute, explored freedom songs that inspired resistance, discussion and anti-hate activities centered on civil rights ahead of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Students wrote poetry, stories and songs about fighting inequality as part of the STOP conference. Students also heard from Lt. Governor Anthony Delgado who shared his message for the need for more love in today’s world.
Both MS and HS AoPC clubs are working towards this year's designation of being a No Place for Hate School.
