Which Fulton County district had largest enrollment in 2022-23 school year?

Gloversville City School District had the highest enrollment among Fulton County school districts, welcoming 2,457 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.4% of them were boys, and 49.3% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 78.3% of Gloversville City School District's total enrollment.

Among the six districts in Fulton County, Broadalbin-Perth Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,693 students, while Johnstown City School District welcomed 1,468 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Gloversville City School District roughly covers schools within Fulton County and has a main office in Gloversville.

In the previous school year, Gloversville City School District also had the highest number of students among Fulton County districts.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
