Central Valley CSD at Ilion-Mohawk had the highest enrollment among Herkimer County school districts, welcoming 2,086 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were boys, and 49% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 89.9% of Central Valley CSD at Ilion-Mohawk's total enrollment.

Among the 10 districts in Herkimer County, Herkimer Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,096 students, while Little Falls City School District welcomed 1,088 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.
