Central Valley CSD at Ilion-Mohawk had the highest enrollment among Herkimer County school districts, welcoming 2,072 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 48.7% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, making up 91.1% of Central Valley CSD at Ilion-Mohawk's total enrollment.

Among the 10 districts in Herkimer County, Herkimer Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,090 students, while Little Falls City School District welcomed 1,071 students and ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Central Valley CSD at Ilion-Mohawk roughly covers schools within Herkimer County and has a main office in Ilion.

In the previous school year, Central Valley CSD at Ilion-Mohawk also had the highest number of students among Herkimer County districts.
