Have you heard about Supported Decision Making (SDM)?
It encourages and helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities make their own decisions with help from the trusted people in their lives.
Legislation is working its way toward approval. If NYS approves SDM legislation, it will join 12 other states that have passed this bill.
