The Self-Advocacy Group, which is comprised of many individuals throughout the agency, held a meeting recently via Zoom and, have voted their newly selected officers. Sarah Barreto exclaims she "wants to help out and keep everyone safe" as the new President. Erin Balcom, says "I want to be great person" as she fulfills her duties as Vice-President. As the incoming Secretary for the Self-Advocacy Group, Tina Cawley is super excited and "wants to learn how to write and type out the minutes." "Good at counting money and very quick at it too," Thomas Ferrante will take over the duties as Treasurer. Tom also says, he "listens to people" and feels like they will help him to succeed. The officers just happened to be from the THRIVE Program but all Self-Advocates from The Arc of Delaware County work together as a group. Delarc is lucky to have such a talented group of Self-Advocates.
