Last month, the Key Club of Fonda-Fultonville Central School paid a visit to the Arkell Adult Home in Canajoharie, N.Y. The purpose of this community-building event was to allow members of the Key Club to present numerous homemade Valentine’s Day cards, which were created by members of the Key Club, to the residents of the Arkell Adult Home. Conversations between the residents and Key Club members covered many topics, and friendships were made.
The residents learned about the Fonda-Fultonville Key Club’s service projects and the ideals of the Key Club International Organization. In addition, the Key Club members were then given a tour of the Arkell Hall Adult Home and learned about the history of the Arkell Family and the Arkell Hall Foundation. The Fonda-Fultonville Central School Key Club is a school and community service organization sponsored by the Gloversville-Johnstown Kiwanis Club.
