The New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services has introduced a Damage Self Report tool for individuals to report damages from the August 9th storms. This tool allows residents to report damages without needing to call the local Emergency Services Office. While it remains possible to leave a message via phone, those preferring online submission can access the tool through a provided QR code.

Residents are encouraged to have specific information ready when using the tool. For those unable to use the QR code or who need assistance completing the survey, help is available at the Planning Department and Sheriff Office booths in the Commercial Tent at the Delaware County Fair. Additionally, staff at the planning office can assist by phone at (607) 832-5444.

Later this week, state representatives will visit Delaware County to assess storm damages. The community will be informed about the date, times, and location of this evaluation so that affected individuals can discuss their damages and inquire about potential programs or assistance.
