51 percent of applicants to SUNY Oneonta were admitted for fall 2018

At SUNY Oneonta, 98 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Oneonta enrolled 6,543 students in fall 2018, including 6,046 in undergraduate and 497 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 2 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (15 percent).

The school admitted 51 percent of the 13,473 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
