Public hearing set for inclusion of agriculturally viable land in Delaware County

The Delaware County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 1:05 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room of the Senator Charles D. Cook County Office Building, located at 111 Main Street, Delhi, NY. The hearing will address the inclusion of lands into Agricultural Districts No. 2 and No. 3.

The purpose of this hearing is to consider requests and recommendations from the County Agricultural Farmland Protection Board regarding the inclusion of specific properties into certified agricultural districts. The properties under consideration are as follows:

- Town of Walton: Agricultural District No. 2

- Tax Map ID# 253.-2-19 (13.8 acres)

- Tax Map ID# 253.-1-2 (21.8 acres)

- Tax Map ID# 253.-2-16 (8.39 acres)

- Town of Bovina: Agricultural District No. 3

- Tax Map ID# 151.-2-12.2 (84.43 acres)

- Tax Map ID# 151.-2-14.2 (20.73 acres)

A map and list of these properties are available for inspection at the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at 111 Main Street in Delhi, NY.

All individuals wishing to comment on any agricultural district inclusions will have an opportunity to be heard at the specified time and place.
