Delaware County schedules public hearing on Community Development Block Grant project

The Delaware County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Delaware County Board Room located at 111 Main Street, Delhi, NY. The purpose of the hearing is to gather public comments on the County’s current Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project: 317CVSB92-22, RAIL Grant, totaling $941,175.

The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR) and provides resources to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities. The principal aim of these initiatives is to benefit low/moderate-income persons.

During the hearing, further information about the progress of the ongoing CDBG project will be provided. Comments related to the effectiveness of administration of the CDBG project will also be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

The building at 111 Main Street in Delhi is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities or those with hearing impairments or translation from English is required, individuals should contact Penny Bishop, Clerk of the Board at 607-832-5110 at least one week in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements.
